# GSA Determinations Feed — Integration Quickstart

The Probity Institute publishes machine-readable governance-rights determinations for
53 DAO/protocol tokens, scored against eight Governance Smart-Association (GSA)
standards. The feed is free, keyless, and CC-BY-4.0 licensed.

- Base URL: `https://probity-institute.pages.dev/data/determinations/`
- Feed index: `index.json` (feed metadata, per-DAO listing, dataset hash)
- OpenAPI spec: `gsa-openapi.json`
- Per-DAO record: `<slug>.json` (e.g. `uniswap.json`, `aave.json`, `centrifuge.json`)

No authentication, no rate-limit registration, no terms beyond attribution.

## Record schema (v1.3)

Each per-DAO record contains:

| `exercisability` | Control-cost estimate for the governance stack (object: `control_cost_usd`, `control_cost_pct_mcap`, `control_path`, `control_stack`, `capture_feasibility`, `hard_flow_ratio`, `exit_premium`); `null` where the DAO has no registry entry |
| `anti_capture_flag` | Structural capture mechanism: `none` / `ve_lock` / `transfer_gate` / `founding_weight` |
| `methodology` | Version, license, and scope statement of the scoring method |
| `source_dataset` | Hash-linked provenance back to the master dataset |

A GSA score is a verified statement that specific governance rights are enforced by
specific smart contracts as of `as_of`. It is descriptive data about mechanism
existence — not investment advice, not a recommendation on any proposal, and not an
assessment of whether a DAO is "well-governed" beyond the eight enumerated standards.

Use the index for discovery; fetch individual records for detail. Records are
regenerated on each quarterly re-assessment cycle (the 2026-10-01 cycle is live; next:
January 2027); `as_of` on each record tells you exactly what state was verified.

`exercisability` and `anti_capture_flag` (populated from schema v1.3) are descriptive
data about how hard a governance stack is to capture or use — not ratings, and never a
statement about any token's price or prospects.

## Integration patterns

- **Risk engines / collateral policy:** treat a GSA determination as an attestation
  about contract-enforced rights. `pass` = the right is enforced in code as of
  `as_of`; `near-miss` = partially present; `fail` = absent. Re-pull quarterly or on
  a `flags` change.
- **Vault curators / index builders:** the eight GSA verdicts plus `structure_label`
  give a two-axis screen (token rights × organizational structure) for universe
  selection. `Tier 5` rows are paused/wound-down/exiting structures.
- **Agents and pipelines:** everything is static JSON, keyless, and stable-schema.
  Subscribe to the feed index's `source_dataset.sha256` to detect dataset revisions.

## Attribution

Feed and determinations are CC-BY-4.0. Attribute to "Probity Institute GSA
Determinations" and preserve the `as_of` date when redistributing — a determination
without its verification date is not the same determination.

## Scope and limits

The feed covers the 53-DAO Rights 50+ universe only. GSA-4 through GSA-8 currently
have no passers across the universe (verified finding, dataset v1.3.0) — a `fail` on
those standards is the universe-wide norm, not a per-DAO signal. Determinations about
organizations undergoing structural exit (see the `flags` field on affected records)
are frozen with explanatory notes rather than re-scored.
